Tinder, the world’s most popular dating app is all set to release its engaging in-app event. The event is called Tinder Swipe Night. It was released in the US, October last year and will not hit India on 12 September. It was to be released much earlier but was delayed due to Covid-19 circumstances.
The event is kind of a story-based video series. It will
have users to choose between two options within 7 seconds. Swipe Night is based
on a plot called the End of the world. According to it, the users will be made
aware that an asteroid is about to hit the earth, and then they will have to
choose. Based on their choices, they will match with the people who chose the
same options.

The Swipe Night event will take place for three successive weekends. The first episode would start on September 12 at 10 am and will last till September 13, 12 am Midnight. The next is scheduled for September 19 lasting till September 20 in the same timeline. The last one will take place on September 26 and will end on September 27.
The event when released in the US received a lot of
favorable responses. Also, in these times of the Covid-19 Tinder app saw an
increase in users and people matching. So to boost that, Swipe Night is here in
India to further engage its Indian users. It targets the youth with episode
content just like the Choices game available on play store.
To further attract people, Tinder has partnered with video
director Karena Evans for Swipe Night’s production and it’s written by Brandon
Zuck and Nicole Delaney. It would be interesting to watch, whether this event
receives the same feedback similar to the US or even more than that.
